Mission statement: Southside Elementary Partners in Education (PIE) is a non-profit entity established to enhance the educational experience at Southside Elementary School in Cocolalla, Idaho. We support and develop programs that benefit students, teachers, and the community. PIE raises funds, provides volunteer assistance, and organizes programs that enrich the academic, social, and cultural environment of the school.

Brief description of request: Southside Elementary Partners in Education is seeking funding to add an ADA-compliant playground structure at Southside Elementary School in Cocolalla, Idaho. This addition will replace a deteriorating tire-based climbing area currently being used. The total project cost, including equipment, freight charges, installation, and surface preparation, is estimated at $50,000. We respectfully request a contribution of any amount to help make this project possible and provide a more inclusive environment for play.

Explanation of community impact: This project will create a safer, more accessible playground environment for Southside Elementary’s youngest students by providing play opportunities for children of all abilities. The playground is also open for community use outside of school hours, extending the benefit of this investment to families throughout the Cocolalla area. Partners in Education is a volunteer-led organization with no paid staff, ensuring that every dollar donated goes directly toward improving theplayground. This investment will benefit not only current students, but future generations of children and families in our community.
